BJW Reliability Trial 50 mile 2017

Posted on 9th Nov 2016

117 people set off from Merley near Wimborne at 8.30am on the first BJW Reliability Trial of the season in near freezing temperatures. Included in those were many of the friends I have made throughout the year from cycling. The route headed north towards Gussage All Saints into a cold headwind before looping back to Blandford. The early pace was relaxed but the conditions and lumpy terrain split the peleton into smaller groups. The second half of the ride was over unfamiliar terrain and its fair to say, many took a wrong turn or two. Even so, HQ and the impressive cake was reached in just under 3 hours. Next up is the Arrows RT from Bisterne on the 27th November.
